- 1976-1979 - Judge at the first level court of Bucharest

- 1990-1996 - Attorney-at-law at the Bucharest Bar
- Since 1993 - As attorney-at-law, legal adviser to foreign entities performing activity in Romania. Honorary legal adviser to the UK Ambassador in Romania
- 1996-1998 - Secretary General of the Chamber of Deputies
- 1998 - Appointed judge to the Constitutional Court by the President of Romania for a nine-year term of office
- July 1998-June 2001 - President of the Constitutional Court
