Domains of Research
- C*-Algebras
- von Neumann Algebras
- Free Probability Theory
- Most recently he has been concentrating on problems concerning free entropy, i.e. the analogue of Shannon's entropy in free probability theory. This theory holds great future promise for solving several important open questions in the theory of von Neumann algebras
